mber Jean Studio
Art, adventure, love, and life meander and merge throughout my creative process. Living and working close to the land in Montana, I create sculpture, painting, and mixed media works shaped by time in the mountains, where moments of soul-bearing insight often arrive unexpectedly - without ceremony - in nature-made cathedrals.
Animals and elemental forms often serve as guides in my work. Not as illustrations, but as vessels for meaning. Whether carved from fire-killed trees, cast in bronze, or rendered on paper, each piece is made by hand with close attention to material, gesture, and spirit. I’m drawn to forms that feel both ancient and immediate, carrying reverence, play, and lived experience.
Scale is central to my practice. Large works invite the body to gather, rest, or move in relationship, while palm-sized sculptures and paintings offer moments of quiet intimacy - objects meant to be held, contemplated, and lived with over time. Whether monumental or intimate, my intention is to create work that offers a pause and a point of connection between inner and outer worlds.
At its heart, my work is an offering - an attempt to share those unguarded moments of wonder and bring a bit of Mother Nature’s grandeur and grace into human spaces. I hope each piece serves as a quiet companion, inviting reflection, curiosity, and a sense of belonging within the greater living landscape.
