History

Park County Council for the Arts (PCCArts) grew out of the Park County Community Foundation’s (PCCF) Arts Council, which was established in spring 2024 to support art organizations and artists in Park County, Montana after community surveys showed how vital the arts are to area residents. With support from PCCF, the Arts Council began its application process for its 501(c)3 non-profit status with its own governing board.

Our initial program is the annual Artist Laureate position for an established Park County artist with a stipend and community outreach, to be announced at Art Week in late September each year.

Future funding opportunities to support the arts will be identified and solicited. Please see the Get Involved page for how you can be part of this exciting, change-making collective that believes in the power of arts and culture to benefit our communities.
